How do I pay for FootieBugs Academy?

 

FootieBugs Academy is paid by a monthly direct debit/standing Order to the value of £32 per month. This is then collected on or around the 1st – 5th of each month.

 

Do Players purchase FootieBugs Academy Kit?

 

As a leading Academy all players are expected to purchase and wear a full FootieBugs kit that consists of shorts, socks, t-shirt and jumper.

 

When purchasing this kit for the first time, the current cost will be £50. 

 

If you have already purchased a FootieBugs Kit through our community classes you will just need to purchase the FootieBugs Academy Jumper (which comes with white socks) at a current cost of £29. 

 

The kit fee is a one-off, and a kit is not required to be purchased every season.

 

Why is the Kit Important?

 

The importance of the kit is to maintain the highest standard of a professional environment, ensuring all players understand as well as “feel” the “big club” atmosphere. For more information on kits please click here

Which age groups are on which days?

 

We have a number of age groups operating throughout the week as well as all weekend, to find out more simply click here

 

How does my child get scouted?

 

As you know everything is online these days. Your child will have their own online profile made by FootieBugs HO which will be put onto our FootieBugs Website where all Academy scouts and managers across the country can view your child’s skills and then put through their enquiry to our Academy Manager.

 

This being said we also invited head scouts down to our facility to view our players in action. Again if they are interest they will raise their thoughts to our Academy Manager who will let you know.

 

Where are the classes held?

 

The classes are normally held in a variety of venues mainly outside as we like to use AstroTurf and advance 3 and 4g pitches.

 

If my child goes on trial at an academy will my son still have his place at The FootieBugs Academy?

 

Yes of course until you and your child are happy to sign for the other Academy.

 

What happens if my child isn’t at the standard required for The FootieBugs Academy?

 

We have made sure there’s a process for children that need a bit of improvement. The first step is to get your children booked into one of our feeder development classes which are based around improving all abilities. If your children does really well then he/she will be offered another trial at our Academy.

 

If my child signs for another Academy and get released can I come back to The FootieBugs Academy?

 

Yes of course. The Academy Director will call the Academy see what your child needs to work on and then we will improve your child from there.

 

Can my child play for their Sunday league team whilst training with the FootieBugs Academy?

 

Yes of course, we encourage all children to play matches for their teams and with their friends. This will only improve their development further as they will be playing more and more football.

 

What else does my child receive other than excellent training from the Academy?

 

Your child will get a report every 4 months on how he/she is developing. How well he/she is doing whilst also giving honest feedback on how your child can improve. You child will also be given homework to do to keep improving whilst also being offered to play in tournaments and also attend first team football games to go and watch the pro’s in action. Finally you also receive a discount on all of our Holiday Camps for being a part of our Academy.

 

What happens if my son wants to take a break away from The Academy?

 

We do not want to force any children to come to our Academy. We firmly believe in making sure children are happy. If your child would like a break please don’t hesitate to speak to your Academy Director who will speak to you freely and honestly about your child. We will always try and keep a space open for every child. (But please be aware that most classes have waiting lists).

 

How do I find my nearest class?

 

In the first instance check out our class availabilities website under Academy. If you cannot see a class nearby then please call head office on 0121 777 7792 to see what is coming soon in your area.

 

Are the sessions fully insured?

 

All FootieBugs sessions carry child’s personal accident and public liability insurance.

 

Are your coaches trained?

 

All our coaches have been through detailed in-house training; CRB checked, Paediatric first aid trained and have been reference checked by FootieBugs head office.

 

What does the class involve?

 

The class is a structured play programme, which involves a warm up, multiple skills and physical exercise and relaxation time. Our activities encourage other areas of learning such as colours, numbers, visuals and critical thinking. We use midi size football balls for this class. Children get accustomed to the weight and feel of a proper ball. All our classes also include lots of fun!

 

What is the background of FootieBugs Academy Coaches?

 

As with our own Academy Director, many of our coaches are ex and current professional footballers. We believe it is fantastic for the children to learn from people that have been there and done it.

 

How long does each session last?

 

All session last for 1 hour.

 

Do I need to bring anything along?

 

We advise you bring refreshments for your child, especially water to drink for during and after the session (We incorporate time for water breaks throughout the class).

 

How many children do you have in a class?

 

This depends on the size of the class, however this normally consists of between one and two coaches as well as assistants as required.

 

How serious is the coaching element?

 

The most important factor at FootieBugs is that children improve and enjoy their classes. Although we are proud of our advanced teaching techniques we ensure that it is always delivered in a fun and interesting way.
